Best mexican in town: Service varies - sometimes incredible, sometimes lacking. It is often fairly crowded, but there's a reason why. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsEs Muy Excellente!!: This is the only mexican restaraunte I will go to in Bloomington. They just seem to be nicer, and the food is always hot,which to me is muy importante! The food is well priced and the portions are generous. If you go I recommend the Carne Asada.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsLa Charreada, the great food next door: Located next door to my GF apartment, I have eaten there enough to know their menu well enough to give a competent review. the building is small and has a bad paint job, but that just makes you realize that all the buisness has to be about the food. They haave lunch and Dinner value meals by number, almost any combination of tex-mex imaginable. over 30. the food is great, lots of flavor. For all the great food, the price is extreamly affordable. I would recomend it to anyone.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsExcellent Mexican food for an excellent value: I just found La Charreada this year and I'm really glad I did. The food is great - try the enchiladas and beef burritos. The prices are excellent as well. I dined with my boyfriend and we eat got a full meal, he also got a large quesadilla and we each had a margarita for a grand total of under $25. Don't fuss over the many, many paged menu. Order a meal from the back page. The service is fast and reasonably friendly. Also, if you're into it, they have those beer towers, and margaritas are usually on special one night a week. Atmosphere is clean, colorful and fun. Try La Charreada soon!
