Okay, the person who wrote the review below me is very foolish. They do not know how to appreciate proper Chinese cuisine. I believe removing the buffet was a good move. It attracted too many trashy people that want to pay 10 dollars and eat the whole restaurant, like the person below me. The food in the buffet was also greasy and not healthy. The new sushi chef there is awesome and the new menu is great. It gives you a break from the same old same old cliche deep fried Chinese food, but they also have the portion of the menu that has all the fried rice and lo mein you want. So the person below me, go to the royal buffet down the street, pay 10 dollars and eat all the gross food there until you explode, because you don't know how to appreciate true Chinese cuisine, and you don't deserve anything better.
We have been going to Hu Ke LAu almost my entire life. Have always loved the food and the atsmophere. Until recently. They have remodeled the whole place, which is very nice. But, they have eliminated the buffet and their menu has drastically changed. Most of the old dishes are gone in favor of more "chic" type choices. They are really pushing the sushi too. We do not like the changes and will not be back anytime soon. While we were there, on a Saturday night, we saw 3 families, come in, and walk out after looking at the menu. Getting rid of the buffet is going to hurt them tremendously!
great place for fun and great times with friends. I also love there shows so try it out.
