IF you love Prime Rib or Seafood - this is the place for you. Not a place for intimate dinning but the food is very reasonably priced, you get huge portions, and they have some of the best food I have ever eaten. I go here for the Fishermans platter all the time - It is honestly better than most places on the beach. I am a big guy with a big appetite and I almost always come home with leftovers that are are a whole nother meal. I highly recommend Bernies to anybody who loved Prime Rib and Seafood. Another item worth mentioning is their home made Clam Chowder.... Out of this world. The size of the appetizers are the size of meals at most places. Just go there and you will not be dissapointed.

First off, the outside is pretty cool. The exterior is actually a train. How cool is that! When we walked in we seated our self and almost immediatly someone greeted us. They were very patient while we waited for our 2 other people to show up. A little tip, some of there food is GIANT! I ordered 1 pancake and it was the size of 3 pancakes anywhere else. They were very quick in taking our order, and making sure we were taken care of... well untill we got our food.

The guy I came in with sat at the table without coffee for about 20 minutes after he drank his last sip, then had to ask for a refill, then she said "oh, we don't have any, I have to make more"
I found a hair in my scrambled eggs, she did not even appologize. One of the girls ran out of milk and had to ask for more, and the waitress did not come back and check on us. Overall, the service was awful, the food was ok, and finding a hair in my food was NASTY.

I would have to say that I would have to give this restaurant an average. If I was not there with 3 other people that live here in Granby and go here a lot and say that it's always great, I would have given it a awful rating.

Very good food. The place is clean. Waitstaff is efficient. Prices fair. If you like prime rib, get there early before they run out. If you like clam chowder this is the place.
