We recently stayed at the hotel for a dear friends wedding. The room was a delightful surprise. We were expecting the worst and got one of the best rooms in the area. Very pleased and we would stay again.
Try some place your welcome: Recently attended a wedding at the Holiday Inn Berkshire's. It was obvious that the family had attempted to throw a wonderful party. However the Holiday inn did little to help them pull it off. First the dining area was lovely but the dance floor was in a separate room. You had to stand on the dance floor to watch people dance which left little room for the participants. The bartender was the least friendly person I have ever met and it was something everyone spoke about. Our dinner did not come for several hours and we didn't receive the main course till after 9pm. To top it off it was cold and poorly cooked. Local guest who wished to stay at the hotel and have a special evening with out the worry of driving were turned away. I own a well respected business in town and my husband owns two. We were denied a room because we did not live more then 50 miles from the venue. Over all I am happy I attended because I know now not to ever plan an event there nor will I visit the restaurant again. I feel they owe the families an apology and even a partial refund it was horrible.
Terrible time in the country: We stayed here because we have family locally. We were met with a staff of rude people. The pool was dirty. It was poorly lit in the basement. I was not inpressed at all. When I go on vacation and pay for a room I expect mutual respect from the employees. I won't be back.
