You pay a company's directors and officers to run the company, then you pay a fee to the mutual fund that owns the stock, finally you pay this guy a fee to pick mutual funds. Geez no wonder you can't get ahead, any money you make goes to lining all of your "advisors" pockets. Just go buy a vanguard index fund and forget trying to beat the market by paying someone to "manage your money".

This advisor gets money from the mutual funds it invests for their clients in addition to the fees it charges clients. Are they choosing the best funds for their clients or the funds that pay them? I would look for adviser that does not get a kick back.
