Great food, great prices, great service. Love the waitresses! My favorite place to take my father on Saturdays. For the two of us including desert, less than $25. That's my kind of restaurant and they do not skimp on quality.

My husband and I wandered into The Other Place by accident on a Sunday afternoon during a long drive back to NH. We were delighted with the atmosphere, which was homey, interesting, and unique (to say the least!) You had the standard tables and booths, but there also appeared some tables with special privacy, and the booths were high enough to prevent eaves-dropping. The waitress was pleasant, warm and friendly, but not intrusive. The food was very good- hot, fresh, and prepared in such a way that it enhanced what would already have been a decent meal. The roll on my grilled chicken ($6.99) sandwich was scorched "just so" and that hint of smoke really added some zing to an otherwise typical choice. Three different styles of fries, and your standard onion rings, but again all cooked in such a way that elevated the meal from typical to above average. My husband had a reuben ($6.29) and said it was especially good, and it sure looked good! The coffee was hot, the ice tea was not weak, and the chocolate pie came with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and a shot of whip cream, for the comparatively low price of $3.99. On the way to the very clean bathroom we noticed there was a cheese and crackers table, which I assume was free, and a very nice bar. I snatched a menu which I stuck in the glove compartment, because I will absolutely visit The Other Place the next time I am passing through. I really recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a pleasant, typical, affordable and reliable meal in an especially entertaining atmosphere.
