What a stupid thing to do. My carrier walks them to the door like she had the queen's crown in there. Maybe this carrier should be working at the airlines as a baggage handler. She fits the bill. My last set of eggs well wrapped in a hard box had 4 broke and 8 shaken so hard that the yolks broke. Some people have a cruel disregard for life. Apologies are in order here.
Ok so here goes...this package was dripping all over the other packages when it arrived at the P.O. It was on so many packages that we weren't even sure which one was leaking. None of them were labeled "eggs" so it was hard to tell without actually seeing it drip. We cleaned up the best we could and delivered the parcels as usual. There is not enough room for anyone to reach 20mph in the distance between the mailbox and the steps where the package was put down from the carriers open door. I am truely sorry that these eggs were not handled or labeled properly from the begginning but they were not broken at the fault of your carrier.
I cannot believe the non-caring people at this post office. When a postal carrier maliciously throws a package out the window at 20 mph to a customer standing in her yard(one that pays their wages by the way) and it the contents of that package, fragile live eggs are destroyed, it is just uncomprehensible that the postal carrier is not held responsible for the damages. Not even held responsible for an apology to that customer. How rude and un-American. This post office should be investigated for the mishandling of fragile packages and the ignorance of the postmaster allowing this sort of behaviour to happen and not taking the customer's complaints seriously! Shame on you all!

If you knew the process of how packages are handled you'd know that eggs should only be sent registered mail & labeled properly. This would insure the package is passed hand to hand. The post office employes are not paid by your taxes either.
