They were great with price, service was ok, some small issues, but it would not prevent me from buying again.
I purchased a ST.CROUX pellet stove in 2007.I have had nothing but problems. The service at ROBBINS GARDEN CENTER was TERRIBLE.Before my stove was set up an employee from Robbins came out to measure for the pipes. The day the stove was set up and the pipes were attached his measurements were wrong which ment more pipe and more for me to pay. After the pipes were set up i was shown the control panel but i was never shown how to remove the panels inside the stove to clean it properly. Due to not being shown how to clean it i had TWO CHIMNEY FIRES in the first season. when i would call Robbins and ask to speak to the person who set up the pipes was never around.I asked to be called back which usually took a couple days. I had to pay someone else to come out and look at the stove and found out several parts were not tightened or adjusted so the stove would run properly. Then my burn pot had to be replaced which i had to pay for. Noone know how it had gotten ruined. A week later i had to go back and get another replacement burn pot that i did not have to pay for. The girl at the service desk finally told me the reason the pot was being burnt through was because the ignighter needed to be pulled out so it wouldnt burn the pot itself. She told me the igniter was in the BACK of the stove. WRONG INFORMATION. It was in the FRONT.So again i had to call someone to fix that problem. When the stove was put together the ignighter was never tightened into place and thats the reason the burn pot kepy getting ruined. When people ask me where to buy a pellet stove i "TELL THEM WHERE NOT TO GO" I spent thousands on that stove and believe me it wasn't worth it. You need to look around and ask around before you invest money in any product so you don't get "BURNT" like i did. JOE
Good service, very helpful. We have had good service on a stove bought elsewhere, and hassle free pellet buying for two years, going in next week for third year. Fair prices and good, helpful service. The nursery is nice, too.
