Rivers Edge will be opening April 3rd, and I can hardly wait!! My shovel, hoe and work gear are ready to scrape, dig and plant! Rivers Edge carrys everything from exotics to morning glories! and the healthiest I've ever found. My Morning Glory purchase has brought me years of pleasure, with uncomparable flower size!
The owners (that cute couple in the upper left hand corner) are fabulous people, with style and flair you just want to emulate! Walking thru the yard and shop you get a headfull of ideas to bring a dull corner at your yard to life!
Lift your spirits! Go to Rivers Edge and BUY a PLANT!
a wonderful, peaceful place to wander around and pick up a plant or two. i have been going there for about 15 years, and have gotten to know the owners. they are great family people and a pleasure to do business with. i eagerly awaite the opening every year.
I have been going to River's Edge for over 10 years. Their selection is tremendous even though their prices are higher than what you would find at a Lowes or Home Depot. Be aware, however, that once you make a purchase, they will not stand behind their products whatsoever. They will think of every excuse under the sun (to much water, to little water, not enough sun, bugs, not enough fertilizer) to avoid giving you a replacement. When I explained an issue that I was having with this year's Begonia purchase, they stated right to my face, that "you are crazy and lying to us." Not a good way of running a business. I have been purchasing the same Begonia type for 6 years with never an issue. Six years earlier, I had spent over $25 for a perennial only to have it die in a month. Perfect planting conditions but simply did not make it. Jen, the owner, indicate that hers were doing fine. In other words, I must have doen something wrong. In summary, if you are looking for an unusual purchase, this (or Garden in the Woods or Russels in Wayland) would be your place. Otherwise go to the chain home stores. Their selection is generally very healthy when it initially comes off the truck and they stand 100% behind your purchase.
