Thai Sweet Basil

i used to go with my friend, and we would share a pad thai. we'd get a thai iced coffee or thai iced tea each too and tip really well to make up for sharing the dish - about our fourth time or so there, the manager came to our table and lectured us on how we always came in and ordered something small, and went on for about ten minutes, so we felt really uncomfortable - which it is difficult to make us feel. apparently that wasnt acceptable - but i love the pad thai, so we still get it as take out

Be prepared for the fastest food anywhere. All the food here is delicious and very inexpensive, especially at lunch. If you like spices, don't be afraid of some of the more exotic items on the menu like the mango curry dish. Want a huge plate of food? Order the Crispy Pad Thai. Looking for something super-healthy? Try the Chicken in the Garden. Can you tell I love this place. If you want cheap and yummy exotic food, this place can't be beat. Oh, and don't be scared of the color, but try the thai iced tea. AMAZING!

I went with my family to Thai Sweet Basil and had the worst ever experience. We entered by 8:45 pm and were told we had 15 min to order which we promptly did. Food was promptly served and we were busy eating it when one lady suddenly appeared and got all the waitresses to leave. After that, she came up to our table and said - "you need to get out"! She also thrust the bill - nearly $50. We politely told her that for $50 we expected better customer service at which point she murmured something and went onto to make several calls. We decided to ask her for boxes since it was clearly getting very unwelcome. She refused that saying that it wasn't her job. She was going to call the waitresses back and that she would actually need to charge us extra. She also asked me to speak with her owner who told me that he was going to call the police as we weren't paying the bill! This of course was ridiculous and I called the police instead!! Overall it took us 40 min and a police officer to get a couple of boxes!!

Food is good, service at least this once was terrible - enough to make us not go back there to find out if it has improved!
