User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy children are the fourth generation of my family to enjoy eating at the Cedar Crest. The restaurant has a quiet, relaxed old-fashioned ambience and the food continues to be delicious. Our favorite is their veal cutlet with tomato sauce served with their freshly-made cole slaw and bread from the Tripoli... tastes the same now as it did when I first ate there in the 1950's. Their decorative plants have been around longer than most restaurants have! Be sure to enjoy the painting of Motif #1 hanging over the hearth. Prices are very reasonable and the waitstaff has always been pleasant and accommodating. You will not be disappointed with their food.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI go to Cedar Crest all the time. I always sit on the diner side so my experience and comments are limited to the diner. I love it. GREAT Breakfasts all day, awesome cheseburgers and chicken parm. The specials are all incredible deals on fantastic comfort food. You gotta love the gravy on the pot roast, chicken and turkey dinners carved right off the bird. The service is great and there's secure parking out back. You can't go wrong at this Lawrence landmark.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA Lawrence Land Mark, Rediscover it.: Went to Cedar Crest last Saturday, I was so satisfied with my meal (stuffed shrimp) and the service The restaurant has been around I think since the 40's and every native born Lawerncian know that you can get the best value for your money and the food is wonderful. Their veal cutlet with meat sauce is on my agenda for the next visit it is so good. There is never a time when it is not packed it has a well deserved reputation for great food, great service, and great value.
