| About: | This museum across from Salem Common revisits the hysteria of 1692, when people in the town were falsely accused of being witches or "consorting with the devil," then were tried and hanged. Twenty people were put to death during this notorious time. The museum offers a half-hour audio/visual presentation, along with extensive information about witch hunts and witchcraft, past and present. Open through the week from 10am. |

very well informed "show" of the trials. you are escorted into one huge room surrounded by wax props that run along the wall above you. afterward you are then escorted to a museum portion of the building with a few props that actually speak for themselves. you are then escorted out to their amazing gift shop. lots of goodies there!
