| About: | Salem is notorious for the witch trials held there in 1692. The Witch Dungeon Museum takes you back in time to Salem Village during that time period through a re-enactment of the witch trials. In all, 156 were accused of being witches and 20 were put to death. The museum's performance is based on historical transcripts from that year. Admission also includes a tour of a dungeon, which recreates the atmosphere of the original site where those accused of witchcraft were held. |

It was a nice place to visit, but the staff selling tickets were the rudest people ive ever met in Salem. They talked to my wife as if she was stupid. And they were even more rude to my kids. i would have demaned a refund, but my family wanted to see the reenactment (which is about 10 min long).
very well informed play of the actual witch trials. great actresses. beautiful building as well. once the play is over you are escorted downstairs to a replica dungeon. we were told this is not the actual dungeon used during the trials. the only thing saved from the original dungeon is a wooden beam which can be seen once you enter the dungeon.
the atmosphere is dark and gloomy! it was pretty hard to take pictures there.
Can't wait to go again!: Nothing else, but just loving it!!!!!!!!!!
