We have attended many weddings and this has to be the worst we have ever attended-The wedding was 10:00-when we arrvied at 9:45 the front dooor was locked-there were no chairs set up outside, no bartenders, no waitresses-My husband was furious that we along with 80 other guests stood in 90 degree heat on the blacktop in the parking lot for over an hour. I finally said to the justice of the peace wouldn't you think someone would tell all the people milling in the parking lot to at least go the grassy area. The wedding finally took place at 11:00 after several of the guest put out chairs.Food was not served until 1:00 and was mediocre at best.Cake cutting also a disaster as was introduction of bridal party. The only positive I could say is the ground were very nice but the coordination was non-existent. I can sympathize with the bride who had a similar experience-how embarassing to you and your guests.I actually would rate this less than 1 star
I can not give the Coachmen's Lodge a good review. We had our wedding there the other night and now it will be forever a night of disaster that i remember. I can say one thing nice the grounds were very pretty. Lets start from the beginningâ¦. I live in North Carolina but born and raised in a town close by to the Coachmenâs. We wanted to come home for our wedding so we picked the Coachmenâs to celebrate our amazing day. BIG MISTAKE!!! Up until two weeks before the wedding I found out there was a wedding coordinator. I was told different things by her employees on how the function was supposed to run. NO ONE WAS ON THE SAME PAGE LET ALONE THE SAME BOOK!!! Day of comes around I get to the hall thinking everything is going to be perfect. Right off the bat it seemed like no one knew what they were doing. The servers did not speak English and it was hard to communicate with them. The ceremony was beautiful then off to the pictures. We were in the middle of or picture session and a server brought out our appetizers that my husbandâs parents had ordered so many of. They asked if they could just leave the plate on the ground. Now we come back in to sit for out meal. The coordinator tells the best man ânow okay go.â He had no idea it was time for his speech and was not prepared. Our guests were getting extremely hunger it had been 45 minutes and nothing but salad had come out. When we tried to bring this to the wedding coordinators attention we could not find her. SHE WAS OUTSIDE DOING OTHER WEDDING REHEARSALS, mind you, using the chairs that had been rented for my wedding!!! The bartender was also M.I.A. When we finally got to speak to the coordinator she said it was out fault that everything was going so badly they were not ready to serve until 8pm and my guests sat down to early and that the bartender was missing to help get food ready. So professionalism had gone right out the window at this point. Next thing you know everyone is coming up to me âAre you going to cut the cakeâ¦or dance with your dad?â Nothing was organized and timed correctly. My wonderful photographer was the one telling us when it was time to do everything. At this point my guests were bored and hungry and just unhappy. This is just my warning to all of you to beware before booking. And to top it all off I have no one to stress my concerns about this facility the coordinator is the OWNER!!!!!!!
Simply the best!: Coachmen's is simply the best place outside of Boston for great food, excellent service and great atmosphere. I got married at Coachmens, am having my sister's baby shower there and go eat to eat there frequently. The food is just amazing. The best thing about Coachmen's is that for functions, they only charge for food! Not for the wait staff or a million other nit picky things. They are great.
