User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGrapevine is out of the ordinary: This restaurant is a welcome change for those who don't want to travel into Boston. You can still get a unique gourmet meal that is truly outstanding. This restaurant however in my opinion used to be much better, lately the selections have not been as good. Still, well worth checking into, definitely a cut above the rest.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsgood food: Parking can be tough in the Pickering Wharf section of Salem. The hostess was snotty and should lose her position; she starts off the evening on a bad note. While the ambiance of the Grape Vine is pleasant and can be romantic, our last meal was disturbed by a screaming colicky baby, but a restaurant can't serve a child a gag order. The parents should be chastised for this. Our waiters have been pleasant and quick. The food is quite good though pricey with entrees in the mid $20s.

Choose another restaurant: The hostess was extremely rude. The food was only average, the waitress got our food order wrong and never brought our beverages. We should have trusted our instincts and gone to a different restaurant.
