It is hard to say if this popularity is due more to the delicious food or the unbelievably low prices. The professionals and tourists waiting in line do not really care either way; they know that they are going to get a great meal, perhaps with a glass of wine or beer, for much less than $10. There isn't much in the way of atmosphere here; many people take their orders to go. |

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsDo not, under any circumstance, eat at Umberto.
The pizza literally made me gag - it has a smell of sweaty feet and is painful to bring to your mouth. I could barely stomach one piece. But the insult to injury is waiting in a line for 40 minutes. If the line is to the door, you can expect to wait that long - seriously. I'm sorry if the employees are nice guys, but for the love of god the service is agonizingly slow. It's inexcusable for any take-out joint with a menu of 6 items (that are all sitting a gruesome pile on the counter ready-to-serve) to have service that painfully slow. And the reward for your wait is terrible pizza. I know it's cheap, but you couldn't pay me to eat there again.
