I'd say it's my favorite sushi place in Boston. I've tried many places, but keep finding myself coming back to Ginza. Great sushi, great experience sitting at the suchi bar watching the chef's make their masterpieces.
head of it all, but not on my experience: Chinatown Ginza:
service, gotta tell ya, terrible!
food was ok, not great as advertised or heard from a co-worker (a chinese girl)
however, the octopus tasted spoiled.. unagi was cold, raw fish were ok, not that fresh...
when I complained to my rude waitress, she took it away and brought another plate back with same quality, and told me that "the first plate is on the house" with a heavy manner. ??? isn't it obvious? I ignored her manner, paid my bill, and left her a pitty 15% tips.
well, too long now, but I would not come back to this place and/or their Brookline location (my town). I've had bad experience there as well.
Good Japanese food: I've been there a couple of times and been pretty happy with what I got. The seaweed was good and I had the eel on rice as well. Very tasty. Sometimes there is a wait on weekends but it is generally worth the wait ad the decor is interesting as well.
