Giacomo's is definitely worth the 1.5 hours we waited in line. We were there during the Fisherman's Feast, so the people watching was fantast! The service is quick and efficient without feeling rushed, even though the goal is to clear the tables for the mass of people waiting outside. The bread was fresh and tasty. We ordered the garlic bread and the calamari. Both were great. Our main courses were unforgetable, probably one of the best meals ever! I had the fussuli with lobster and shrimp with both the Giacomo's and the bechamel sauce mixed. YUM! This was a very large portion, full of lobster and super fresh shrimp. My friend ordered the butternut squash ravioli (which I ended up eating). This was the best pasta I have ever tasted. The squash was seasoned perfectly and was delightfully sweet. The cream sauce was sooo rich and tasty and the asparagus was cooked to perfection. I can't wait to go back!
Giacomos is fantastic. The pumpkin tortellini and calamari are the best I've had in the city. One of my favorite places. Just remember they only take cash!
Giacomo's really IS one of the best Italian restaurants in Boston and I prefer the on Columbus. (Pomodoro is extremely overrated - who else serves lobster ravioli with maple syrup as the main sauce of the dish? It was disgusting!) So, don't believe Vince, believe the Phantom!!
