| About: | Not to be confused with the Harvard Square Coop , the university bookstore down the block, this independent store sells primarily new books. However, they do offer a small selection of used books downstairs at half price. Bargain-hunters will also enjoy the discounts on remainders, bestsellers, and "Featured Fifty" books of the month. A wide selection of scholarly books and weekly author events keeps culture-hungry Cambridge academics satisfied. |

Best bookstore: Harvard Bookstore (NOT to be confused with the Coop) is like a spa for booklovers: you feel pampered and cared for after your visit. You will probably find the book you're looking for there. If you can't, the extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and plentiful staff will order it for you. The used and remainder sections in the basement are where you'll find the real gems: great books in good condition at half price. This is my favorite bookstore in the Boston area.
Great!: The store is well set up so that it was easy to find the areas I would be interested in browsing. The selection was also very good.
Great collection: Whenever I need a particular book, I can always count on this bookstore to have it. It is a great place to wander and read. Extremely big. A must for tourists because of its landmark status.
