| About: | This cramped Allston shop bills itself as a family thrift store. Start with the children's clothes in the front racks, wander back to the men's sports jackets (including some wild plaids) and then meander into the women's section, which boasts a huge number of dresses and shoes, all arranged by color. In the back you will find home goods like silverware, dishes, plates, pots and pans. This shop has a great assortment of paperback books and you might even find some bestsellers among them. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWhen I lived in Boston, I would go to Urban Renewals EVERY DAY!
Since I moved, I can only get there on Holidays.
But it still is THE BEST THRIFT SHOP in Boston.
Even when I went every day..there was ALWAYS plenty of new merchadise to go around.
The two people in charge are very nice. The female (I think) is Jamaican. The male IS Haitian. Very nice people.
The cashiers are mainly Asian (all different ages!)
The stock people are mainly Latino.
They are all VERY NICE!!!
The merchandise is very nice.
You do not feel "ICKY" like when you leave other Thrift Shops.
Other than a little dust, the place is immaculate.
