User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Best Bar Food in Boston: Although the Chez Henri's restaurant is good, our favorite thing about Chez Henri is the bar food. The Cuban sandwich (which also comes in a vegetarian version) is very tasty, filling and generally one of the best deals in Boston. Other bar food favorites include the cheese plate, empanadas and the chorizo.
In addition to the bar food, Chez Henri makes excellent cocktails. We'll go so far as to say we think they make the best mojitos in Boston. The bartenders are also very friendly and attentive. This is definitely not the sort of place where you have to wait 20 minutes, trying to make eye contact with the bartender, trying to subtly signal with your hand until it looks like you have turretsÂ’ syndrome just to get a drink.
The most challenging part about Chez Henri's bar is to actually get a seat. It's pretty small, so your best bet is to come early to snatch a good spot. Hopefully, by revealing this, we won't be left standing the next time we swing by for a drink and a snack.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFor what seems to be forever---Chez Henri: Takes a little extra cash, but this is not your median quality dining. I had probably the best dessert ever, anywhere (including Vienna and Prague) here: a chocolate concoction resembling a cake, but better, way better. The ambiance is cooly upscale,very quiet, perhaps slightly donnish; the service I had was impeccable. For all these years it has not been the same owners- and these are the best, here, now.
