Never gets old...: When we were sophomores at CRLS the parties would get broken up around midnight, so the large majority of us would call charlies kitchen for a take out double cheeseburger (only $3) and scarf that down before calling it a night and getting home before curfew. As we got older we would go in and sit at the booths around 1:30am because it was the only place in "da bridge" that was open for cheap eats... the only other option would be driving to IHOP on Soldiers Field Road. Boooo. Now im out of college and my friends and I still hang out there for a few beers and a burger every now and again.
If the Harvard kids would just go to John Harvards like theyre supposed to it would be a lot cooler... but you cant always get what you want, so despite the Harvard Blowhards wreckin the vibe, i give it 2 thumbs up for standing the test of time.
Charlie's where regular people have great food: That is right there are regular people in Harvard Square, you know the everyday man who wants a burger and a lobstah roll for cheap. This place is relaxed and run, nice people and a retro feel. Nothing too pretty this is not an Ambercrombie and bitch date place, just a place to relax with friends and have a good time.
Good Burgers: for cheap, good burgers, come here.
