Hidden Jewel in East Cambridge: Puglieses touts itself as the oldest family owned bar in Cambridge and is in fact now owned by an ancestor of the original owner. The place has been renovated recently after a fire , and is a very lovely bar. Great ambience and anyone will feel comfortable relaxing here , the regulars and the staff are friendly and fun. On the weekends they have a DJ , he plays a great mix of oldies, country and rock and takes requests. There is a small kitchen but the times I have been there it was not staffed, however if you get lucky bartender Martha may offer you one of her world famous Chicken Salad sandwiches. Pug's as they call it has 2 HDTV's on the walls and sports is on constantly. Drinks are reasonably priced, a draft of PBR was 2.00 or 2.50. There are a couple of restaurants nearby to get take out and you may bring it to Pug's to enjoy. All in all a wonderful little place to relax and watch a game or listen to music.
