As you may see from reviews, people seem to love or hate this place. I have generally found the food poor, though I have only visited in 2009 so this may be a recent change.
Bears all the hallmarks of a restaurant that may soon feature on "Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nitemares" - the decor is dated, the service is poor and the portions are too large (I'd prefer to pay the same for better quality than quantity).
With that said, I see many others really love the restaurant. Best course of action may be for you to visit and decide for yourself!

I stopped in today at approx. 1:30 P.m. for lunch as I found a parking space on the little side street which, I found out is know as Hancock Court. I was saddened to find out from your menu that the lobster roll was not on it and so I ordered fried clams (they were tough) but I will say the cole slaw was delicious as ever. I inquired of the barmaid re the lobster not on the menu--she it was and she should be the list of specials that she thought she had given me. I find that young barmaids give only their best attention to young very good looking males, one of which was at the bar. After leaving the restaurant I found a parking ticket on my car which stated that I parked "blocking the dumpster". I was surprised because I have parked there many times in the past and never have had a ticket. I strongly suggest that you put up a sign stating no parking because of the dumpster. There was no sign that there was no parking there. So I now have to pay the City of Quincy $15.00 when only the rear end of the car was near the dumpster. I am 75 years of age and have a handicap sticker on my car because of a severe breathing problem and the reason I parked there was because it was not too far for me to walk. I have been a customer since it was the old Quincy Oyster House. I would visit more ofen but again, I can't walk too far. All in all, it was not a good day. Please see to having a sign put up to warn other people. Today's rating-3 stars!
I agree,it is a Terrible restaurant. It never used to be until it went under new management. The food is BAD and the prices have really sky rocketed. No regulars anymore so it is not worth going there to see familiar faces. We all must find someplace new I guess.
