User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsAs the previous reviewer wrote, I too went to see Elizabeth about making a wedding gown for me. She sketched the gown to my specifications, and indeed had beautiful materials to offer.
Much to my chagrin, at the 2nd to last fitting I found that Elizabeth had completely changed the style of my gown. When I asked what happened, she said she had decided to do it another way. I showed her the sketch of the gown she had drawn and promised to make, and she became angry. She said that if I wanted her to make it that way, it would be an extra $1000. This was 3 weeks before my wedding, mind you, and I felt trapped. I also refused to pay one penny more than she had originally quoted for the gown she promised to make.
After a great deal of unnecessary stress, Elizabeth finally came around and made the gown she had originally promised. It was indeed beautiful, but I cannot in good conscience recommend Gowns by Elizabeth.-

I have had the most gorgeous gown and mantia made for me, I cannot tell you enough positive words about my experience with Elizabeth who designed and created my dream gown. Everyone asked who the designer was they were in awe of the beauty and perfect fit of my gown. It is no wonder Elizabeth had won the âBest of Bostonâ award, for she is truly an award-winning designer!

Hi Everyone,I had several really unfortunate experiences in the local bridal boutiques, which shall remain unnamed, in the depths of depression; I came across Gowns by Elizabeth and called her studio. After the first five minutes of talking with Elizabeth, my depression lifted and never returned. What an experience the first consultation was (Free by the way), Elizabeth drew out my dream gown in her sketch pad, I picked out my materials, (Real Silk, what a change from the mystery materials), Silk Duchess Satin, Really beautiful lace and had a touch of Swarovski crystal, hand beaded, by Elizabethâs staff beadier! Several visits later, I had my dream gown, made from 100% silk duchess satin, hand made headpiece and long veil with blusher (all detachable) for only $2,200! Elizabeth you are the best, get it together girls and go see Elizabeth!SincerelyDaniel
Just to comment on Lorraine's review - Lorraine works for Elizabeth, and is not an actual customer. She posts a review everywhere she possibly can, but her reviews are not real. Additionally, the Best of Boston Award she mentions is from 1993. It is not current, nor does it reflect the type of service you will receive from Elizabeth.
