I came to the site looking for a menu & I am sorry I didn't take the negative reviews more seriously. Being locals we have been going to the Lobster Hut for years & years loving the seafood. Even calling in for take out. Well No more.. we went about a month ago and had the worse seafood platter & fried oyster plate ever. Seafood just did not taste fresh - the lemonade was good. Will be a long time if ever we return & I would never take the chance with out of town guests. We have been mentioning our disappointed meal to others and have been told to try Woods. So families on vacation in Plymouth or planning on coming for a visit - beware. And another note: Lobster Hut if you are reading please make your ee's more aware of your guests needs - not only clean tables, but being alert that some of your dinners carrying large trays of foods need help with opening those patio doors. Your staff in the past were always so helpful, not the case now.... something has differently changed.
Sorry Lobster Hut !!!
On a recent friday night my family and I went to this restaurant for what we thought served the best seafood in the area. On the contrary, it was the worst fried seafood meal I've had all summer. I would not recommend this tourist trap to anyone. The best thing about the seafood platter was the french fries, and the fish that was served was the worst possible cut of the fish. Upon returning our meals to the counter we soon found out the an additional four meals were returned as well that same night. This place should be embarrassed for there food.
I used to look forward to going to the Lobster Hut for my lobster roll. I don't know what changed over the past year - but I was utterly disappoinged - there was little, if any lobster in the roll. In fact, I've had much better ones at a hot dog stand in So. Boston (Sullivan's on Castle Island). The clam chowdah was only flavored with clams - mostly clam juice and potatoes. Half a cup of potatoes remained in the cup. Will I go back = probably not. It might be that they figure they can stick it to vacationers - but I'm not a vacationer and would go down there several times a year. Not any more!! and that's too bad. Be warned - little value for the money.
