I do not agree with most of these reviews. The service was awful and the hostess was very rude. The food was decent but not worth the terrible service!!!! I will not go back to East Bay Grille, there are to many good places to eat in Plymouth.
The pros: beautiful atmosphere, good food, friendly waitstaff
The cons: BORING menu!
East Bay's menu is soooo limited and several of the menu options are like carbon copies of one another. I used to just stick with chicken caesar salad because I don't like steak and I detest seafood meals with stuffing (aka Lobster Pie, or baked stuffed shrimp) and East Bay's Lobster Pie is considerably more stuffing than lobster meat, and those two types of meals fill this menu.
However, I finally tried the Grilled Salmon, served with asparagus and a parmesan risotto cake topped with a hollandaise sauce. DELICIOUS! I've found my East Bay staple, along with the Lobster Bisque, which I've always found to be tasty and containing plenty of lobster.
To finish the meal, I always enjoy the Wharf Pie -- a sky-high pile of Heath bar ice cream on an Oreo crust and drizzled with caramel.
One piece of advice I've been given in the past is to NOT order the Seafood Kristopher, which is sauteed seafood in an alfredo-like sauce served over fettucini. It sounds delicious, but I've been told by a few different people that it's very, very bland.
We are locals and love East Bay.
We enjoy sitting at the bar for drinks and dinner, the bartenders are wonderful, engaging and overlap areas to provide the best service.
We had the M_T_W $40.00 special, the Chicken Provencal was delicious and the Seafood Royal was very good, the Rex chardonnay was also very good, all included, $50.00 total with tax and tip, Great Deal!!
My personal favorite is the Crab Cake appetizer large enough for dinner for me.
I am a soup lover and have enjoyed delicious chicken and beef barley, as well as French Onion soups.
On Saturdays, we find ourselves at the bar for the view and a light repast.
Also a great place to have fun with friends. Summer opens the outdoor courtyard, hard to find a seat.
