Hayashi is so delicious!! It's a small place but the food is great whether you order sushi or something else you will not be disappointed at all. I go to Hayashi 2-3 a week for sushi and I just cant find any other place that compares to it!!

In the area on business, I dropped in on Hayashi for some sushi. Very nice. It's a small, cozy restaurant. Nice ambiance. Their music selection was enjoyable - a mix of jazz and some modernish sounds. I got Nigiri (Maguro, Hamachi, Tako, and Sake), and savored every piece. The Hamachi seemed very fresh. And I've never seen Sake cut the way it was - longitudinal striations. The lady who took the order and brought the food was very friendly without being overbearing. I will be going back the next time I'm here on business. (Why not 5 stars? It's a cafe and the the Maguro could have been better. 5 stars requires near perfection in my book - 4 is fantastic.)

Quite possibly the best sushi in all of Massachusetts. They use the best ingredients, and their sushi chef takes pride in his art.

My girlfriend and I decided we'd try all the sushi restaurants we could find within an couple hours of travel between us, and after 15 or so places, Hayashi was the last one which ended the long search. We go here almost once a week now. Sometimes they don't even need to give us menus unless they've added something new to their wonderful collection.

It's a small quiet place, but a very friendly atmosphere with an updated style. The owner is always there to say hello. It's not usually too busy unless you're there at a peak hour on the weekend. Great variety of sake and beer (free sake tasting on Thursdays). Their menu has more both korean and japanese dishes other than sushi, so you can take your non-sushi loving friends as well. Try the fried green tea ice cream.. it's actual fried ice cream, and not ice cream with frosted flakes smashed on the side of it.
