Two farmers from Ireland, James Wilson and his brother-in-law George Reynolds, farmed 16 acres in Lexington, Mass. and loading their horse drawn wagon, transported their vegetables to Quincy Market in Boston. All five of the first vegetables grown at the farm are still being harvested. The company is now open year-round, and is a twice 'Best of Boston' winner. Wilson Farms provides produce, house bread, sweets, freshly prepared take home meals, its own hen house as well as eggs, meats, dairy and cheeses from around the globe.
