Payson Park Nursery School

For anyone in search of a nursery school in the Belmont area, I’d like to tell you about our family’s experience at the Payson Park Nursery School in Belmont.

My grandson went there for two years and it will remain one of the most wonderful experiences of his early life. At the time, he was an only child and had not had much opportunity to learn some basic social skills, such as sharing, speaking up or being quiet at appropriate times, getting along with others and more.

He started kindergarten this year and the transition he’s made in the two years at Payson Park have paid off tremendously. His teacher has nothing but praise for him, especially his social skills and self confidence.

There’s no doubt many people and events determine a child’s development, their home life obviously the most important. However, there are skills that just cannot be taught in the isolation of a home and that’s where the importance of a nursery school comes in.

I had the good fortune to pick up my grandson every day and on many occasions; I arrived early and just quietly observed the kids doing their activities. I always saw how much respect, care and love the teachers showed each and every student.

Having the peace of mind that your child is treated with this kind of care is extremely valuable; unfortunately it’s not available everywhere, especially to the degree it’s given at Payson Park Nursery School.

For the record, I am not affiliated with Payson Park, I’m writing this simply because I feel so strongly that children’s lives are determined at a very early age and the kind of care they receive from non-family members plays a huge role in who that child will become. I’m sure there are many great nursery schools out there, but I wanted to tell you of one I’m certain provides that kind of care.

The entire staff is just wonderful.

Excellent preschool!: Payson Park Nursery School is a wonderful preschool. The teachers are loving, attentive, and interested in the kids. They are also very professional and help the kids with their early learning experiences (reading, writing, drawing, getting along with others, having fun together, etc.). They also have a huge gym (also used by Kidspace) which was great for my very active son. I would recommend this preschool without reservation--it's excellent! I plan to enroll my younger son when he is old enough to attend. (2.9 yrs).
