Try the turkey dinner. Always delicious. Good portions and real home made tasting .

This was our 3rd visit to Betsy's Diner and undoubtedly our last. We had eaten here 2 times before in the mid 90's and had loved it. This visit was a disaster. It was a busy morning, but there wasn't enough help. If a restaurant has a certain number of seats and seats people to fill those seats, they need to have the help on the floor and in the kitchen to take care of that many people. Summer in Cape Cod, 4th of July week, they should have been able to figure out that they would be busy. We ordered breakfast. Ask for eggs to be scrambled soft, they were served as hard as pebbles and very browned. Sourdough toast that is homemade was uncooked on one side and very very hard and browned on the other. The bacon was way too done and had been allowed to become hard. Breakfast should be a very easy meal to make at a diner. They have to have cooked these ingredients a thousand times. We did not have time to have the breakfast cooked properly again and we had already waited for 45 minutes for the food to be served. We were on our way out of town and didn't want to lose any more time. Management at Betsy's needs to get it's act together. No one seems to be in charge and too many people are running around and others standing around. You knew you had a problem and still let food leave the kitchen and be served that should have been thrown out.

EVERYBODY LOVES A DINER! I WORKED AS A YOUNG GIRL IN A DINER WHEN WITH MY GRANDMOTHER WHO WORKED IN A DINER IN QUINCY FOR 3O ODD YEARS. GENERALLY THE DINER EXPERIENCE WAS THAT OF THE HOME COOKED MEAL. WHEN BETSY'S FIRST OPENED IT WAS GREAT IT HAS STEADLY GONE DOWN HILL. IT IS OKAY FOR BREAKFAST AND AN OCCASSIONAL MEAL, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR COMFORT FOOD OR SOMEONE TO SERVE LIVER& ONIONS. THE SERVICE IS OKAY, PEOPLE NEED TO SMILE MORE. I MAY CONSIDER GOING TO THEM MORE IF THEY KEPT THEIR DOORS OPEN LONGER. GONE ARE THE DAYS OF THE 24 HOUR DINER. IF THEY STAYED OPEN LATER THEY STILL COULD GIVE THE 99 A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY EVEN WITHOUT LIQUOR. IT IS A NICE PLACE TO GO WITH THE FAMILY FOR BREAKFAST, THEY DON'T SEEM TO MIND CHILDREN.
