| About: | Over the past 23 years, chef and owner Jean Dupon has been delighting customers with delectable cuisine in an exquisite environment. Begin with a sampling of pates. Feast on scallops Barcelona sauteed with almonds, flambeed with Amaretto and finished with cream. The scallops Mediterranee are sauteed with fresh tomatoes and basil in white wine. Or try the frog legs Provencale sauteed with garlic butter. For dessert, the warm chocolate bread pudding, topped with a dark Jamaican rum chocolate sauce is an island favorite. |

We love French cuisine and are familiar with preparation of French food. My husband ordered the soft shell crabs in brown butter and I ordered the duck L'Orange. His dish was clearly burnt and tasted of ash. The woman running the dining room said that was how it was supposed to taste. The duck was dried out. There is a thin line (few seconds) between brown and burnt butter and the front of house manager didn't seem to care. We will not be back.
One of the best restaurants I have ever been!
Me and my husband went to Martha's Vineyard for honeymoon and we ate at Le Grenier. Not only that the food was fantastic but also the staff was excellent including the chef and owner Jean Dupon. Jean would come to every table and greet all new costumers. When I didn't understand the name of the food he would describe it well even he would bring a piece of vegetable at the table. :) He was such a charm chef with his French accent which reminded me Europe. We were talking a lot about Europe as I am from Czech Republic.
Le Grenier was definitely one of our best stops on Martha's!
