Good value. Kid's eat for less than $6 -- same size steak. It can be noisy and the carpet and furnishing are dirty and dated but the steaks are great. Ask for a waitress that speaks English -- there are only 1 or 2.
My husband and I were looking for a restaurant and noticed the parking lot of Pate's was packed with cars. We decided to try this restaurant and were pretty pleased. He had a filet mignon that was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had 2 lamb chops that were at least two inches thick, tender and also cooked perfectly. We had twice baked potatoes that we're just ok, I probably should have ordered a baked. Salads came with the meal for an extra $1.25, and were nice size plates of crisp iceberg, tomatoes, onion and cucumber. A small loaf of hot bread was served with the salad. We also noticed many people eating baked stuffed lobsters. The restaurant is older and dark inside. But for a good meal, not gourmet by any means, I would recommend this restaurant. I could see that alot of people there we're regulars as the host stopped by their tables. I guess a restaurant that keeps people returning is doing something right!
