| About: | This is an entertaining chain restaurant that will amuse both children and adults. The large building looks like a Canadian lodge. Animal and fish portraits on the walls talk to you periodically while you are eating. Food is quite good; the spinach and cheese appetizer and the steaks are tasty specialties. This is a nice place to celebrate a birthday, as they make an enjoyable fuss over the occasion. This Bugaboo is about five minutes outside Providence, on Route 6 off Route 195 East. |

we have visited bugaboo several times but the last two times we were disappointed. The restaurant wasn't clean and when we received our coffee the cup was lined with lipstick the bread and butter plates were dirty. very disappointed
Where do I begin? Mom and I had visited Bugaboo a few times, and I had also been with several sets of friends. It's an adorable place with talking animals on the walls and a woodsy interior. On this occasion, we sat at a back table and decided to try a new appetizer - the smashed potato cakes. They came on a plate and were hot and delicious. It was mashed potatoes that were fried with pieces of bacon inside. For my meal, I ordered the cubano chicken sandwich, while Mom ordered a hamburger. Everything seemed great ... until we decided to go to the bathroom before heading out. I overheard a girl throwing up in the stall next to me. I said to Mom, "I hope we didn't have what she had!" Boy, was I wrong. It wasn't 20 minutes before I was stopping at Wal-Mart to use their bathrooms. I don't know what was going on, but I later found myself using the bathrooms at Stop & Shop because the food had decided to exit in a different way. Needless to say, the food stayed in my stomach for less than 20 minutes, and I was very sick for the rest of the night and into the next day. I wrote this crazy letter explaining my situation. I also reminded them that their bathroom looked like a gas station outhouse. Their reward? A $50 gift card. Of course, I used it to treat two of my friends who I wasn't really crazy about. Who cares if they get sick, right? All joking aside, I was really ill and I'm almost positive it was either the smashed potato cakes that did it, or the boiled chicken in the cubano sandwich. Bugaboo boils all their chicken, and there's nothing worse than soft meat in a salad. Disgusting. I'm afraid to go back. I don't want to have to spend another weekend on the toilet.
Excellent!!!!: I've been to Bugaboo several times for lunch and dinner. Never once have I been disappointed. The chicken fingers are spectacular. I cant tell you how many times I have gotten that meal. The cubana sandwich is great also. I would definitely recommend coming here.
