i lived in hope valley most of my childhood during ww2.the west opened the bakery and the food was excellant.i liked the snow flake rolls.it's amazing after 63 years they are still in business.and am glad it's still there.thats a lot of years making good food
I also lived in Hope Valley for my childhood. I left when I was 22 to join the Army. We actually lived right down the street from West's and my father would walk down every Sunday morning and get something for everyone. I loved their glazed it set the standard for every donut I've ever eaten.. and none have ever come close. I sure do miss that place.
