Saccucci Honda

In August 2009 I was in the market to replace my truck and began looking for a pre-owned Honda Ridgeline searching local dealer inventories on the web. Believing in supporting local business, I called, then drove to my local Honda dealer. A polite salesman walking the lot with my wife and I had zero trucks to look at despite detailed listings on their website and an invitation to "come down and see the truck." As if scripted from a bad foreign B-movie, back inside the showroom, the sales manager at this dealership, and you guessed it, said he wanted to "sell me a vehicle" and could put me "into a new Ridgeline for the same money."

Starting my search over, I called Saccucci Honda in Middletown, Rhode Island and was given the sales associate Buck M. I asked about a couple of Ridgelines advertised on their site. Without my asking to do so, Mr. M. said that he wanted to personally check the Saccucci inventory to confirm the cars I wanted to look at were still available and asked if I could call back in a few minutes. Based upon his up-front courtesy, I gave him my phone number, something I would never do with a car dealer. I was called back promptly and told that Saccucci's had on their lot what they advertised.

I drove the 45 minutes to Saccucci's to look at the Ridgeline I called about, as well as, a couple others that caught my eye on their lot. They provided all of the information I requested, including Carfax. When I decided to buy my Ridgeline, Saccucci's evaluated my trade-in, kept all options on the table, allowing for a candid, no-nonsense sale. I drove off from Saccucci's with exactly what I wanted: a high performance truck with low mileage, loaded with options, new tires, all backed by the Honda Certified full warranty, and all for a great price.

When I buy a vehicle, I have always prepared for battle. Never in a million years would I have even considered writing a review of a car dealer. My experience at Saccucci's and with Buck M. specifically was wonderful and like nothing I have experienced in 30 years of car buying. I realize this sounds like a commercial, I have no reservation what so ever recommending my friends and family give Saccucci's Honda the opportunity to earn your business.
