I went in to buy a Subaru Legacy and walked out fuming! The sales associate my brother and I worked with did not seem to care whether we did or did not purchase a car. After trying to negotiate prices the Sales manager came out. That was a mistake. The Sales MANAGER berated the other local dealerships and claimed âWhat dealership would give you that amount off? Trust me they are going to bait and switchâ. He also claimed that no dealership would give good trade in values for cars, and laughed and said that we could not pay him to take in a trade that we could have given. The sales manager then said that all dealerships use a percentage of Kelly Blue Book and only give a cap amount and all dealerships use this scheme. That was unnerving. Especially when I told him that I work for a car dealership and that is not a practice my dealership uses. I was also ignored most of the time because I was a women and it was not until it was time to negotiate that I was given any attention, and that was only because I would not shut up. Do your self a favor and stay far away.
