    Best place.My date took me to L Elizabeths.The place was so comfortable.We had Martinis talked for hours.I will be back

    And here's the kicker... They no longer accept credit cards! Priceless!

    So, to recap: mediocre drinks at out outrageous unpublished prices, poor quality desserts (again with the outrageous unpublished prices), and pretty poor service from waitstaff who were clearly bored because the place was empty.

    It doesn't seem like ripping people off is really working out for them either. They can't afford to accept credit cards, and it appears that they can't afford to keep their website up either (it seems to have come down 6/5/08... you can find the cached version on google...). In this economy you don't have to be a fortune teller to see an empty store front in their future.

    I'm still unhappy about being ripped off, but really I feel bad for L' Elizabeth knowing that they haven't got much time left.

    Nice place. BUT... do not hesitate to ask for prices before ordering, as they are not included on the menu. This is a sure sign of a guilty conscience. I guarantee during the experience you will be quite pleased with the atmosphere, and the desserts are okay, the drinks, very nice, but in the end you will feel completely ripped off. Their prices are obscene for what you get. I enjoyed the experience, but no more than I dig time spent at a local coffeehouse or any other desserty. They should be ashamed.
