User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLarge portions, Reasonable prices. Nice view of the lake. Comfort food at its finest. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Great service. A little on the old fashioned side but a great restaurant never goes out of fashion. I try to stop here for lunch whenever I am in the Providence area. Dinner can be a little crazy especially on the weekends. It is also located in a residential area and can be a bit hairy to find but it is worth the effort. I hope this place lasts forever. Their turkey dinner is to die for...best mashed potatoes and winter squash anywhere...large slices of fresh turkey with gravy and stuffing....cranberry sauce, rolls and butter...I am in heaven. I have never been able to order desert here because I am always too full. I don't know what restaurants this 1-2 star reviewers went to or what they ordered but I think the place is great. This is not gourmet dining, or cutting edge fusion hip chic food. It is the food you grew up with. I have traveled around the world and for comfort food this place is the best. Consistenly good and the service was attentive and quick. The bad reviews are probably from people who like chains like Chillis or Red Lobster or the like. This food is not chain food it is what your mom would give you on a sunday dinner and it has that atmosphere and feel. For me...that is fantastic. Enjoy.

I don't understand why Rhode islanders head to this place. Its way off the main street; I feel sorry for the residents that have to deal with these cars in there area. The food is horrible, parking is worse, and most of the staff is 65 an older. I had the calamari appetizer, it was like eating a plate of mayonnaise. For the main course I had the stuffed shrimp;the stuffing that they used almost made me throw-up. In short I felt that I was in an old age home paying for bad food!
