My favorite haunted resturant: It's hard to envision an 18th century country tavern smack dab in the middle of Amherst Street, but there it sits, surrounded by modern business and car dealerships. The interiors are cozy, portions of the building are original, though there have been additions over the years. The menu is very elegant, ranging from filet mignon to duck. Always served professionally with friendly wait staff.
It is a an event dinner as it can be on the expensive side, but well worth every penny.
A bonus is the resident ghost, "Elizabeth" who is said to have been slain in the 1700's by her deranged husband. There have been encounters, and the menu has a story you can read about her. There is also a chicken dish named for her.
I have dined there several times and have never been disappointed.
