   As a 58 year old who has lived in San Antonio and Austin, Texas for over 7 years, I know how authentic Mexican food tastes. In my experience, Margarita's is consistently inconsistent. When I went to the Nashua location, I found it to be excellent.
   
   However, the Salem location was so far from perfect I won't ever return. I say this because I wrote the management about my concern, that the cook did not know when to put down the salt shaker. Their response was to take no apparent action.
   
   So I vote against them! I have found other Mexican restaurants who will meet MY needs instead of their own.
   
   THIS WEBSITE WILL NOT LET ME POST THIS NOTE, WITHOUT "PROVIDING A RATING." SO I WILL GIVE IT ONE STAR, BUT IF THE COMPUTER LET ME, I WOULD GIVE THE SALEM LOCATION A BIG Z_E_R_O FOR THEIR UNWILLINGNESS TO LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMER.

   Margarita's was mediocre at best. The drinks were okay. My first drink had a hair in it. The waitress was kind, and replaced it, but it took her about 20 minutes to bring the new one. I ordered stuffed poblano peppers and got stuffed red peppers. This is not authentic Mexican food! I lived in LA for 4 years,and am having a hard time finding a place that's half as good as what I experienced out there.
   I'd go for drinks and maybe appetizers with friends, but that's about it.

   never got fed!: I am sure my experience is not the norm. we were told 5-10 minutes for a table, we waited 15-20. (place was empty in the bar, but we wanted to eat upstairs)
   the meal started with a waitress and a trainee. My wife and I ordered, they came out 20 minutes later -said they checked on it, it woudl be right out, (I assume the trainee never put the meal in) 30 minutes later they asked what we ordered, 40 minutes later made small talk, 50 minutes later said they made the wrong thing the time and had "just put the food in" it was 8:45 now (got there at 7PM)
   -they offered to give me the meal for free. I told them we just wanted to pay for drinks and leave. They gave me the drinks gratis we left mad without eating. They were very apologetic, the waitress was very sorry. The place is dynamite inside, it looks like a great place to eat. Can't prove it by me. I am not going back any time soon.

   That $ucks ... I'm so sorry to read that your experience was so lackluster! I've been there many times with friends and have never had a bad experience; maybe just wait a few months and try it again. Go in and tell them what happened the last time you were there & tell them you're giving t-h-e-m a second chance. I'm sure they'd make up for it - it's a local place & they need local repeat business to stay afloat ...
