Got a Blue Cheese Burger and it was very good. The only compaints that I have are the alcoholic drinks are served in very small glasses, and priced too high, and the menu is not very big....not alot of choices.
My wife and I just came back from the Stage, and we were both very pleased. It was not too fancy, and not too casual with a good selection of entrees and sandwiches.
We started out with the shrimp flatbread, which had tomatoes and spinach topped with dill havarti... absolutely delicious. My wife had the Penne Capri - a mix of zuchinni, peppers and tomatoes topped with grilled chicken, and I had the turkey club, real roasted turkey (not cold cuts) and thick cut bacon on bread that could only have been homemade. Both were fantastic, and reasonably priced.
The service was average, as it was fairly busy for a Monday night. Didn't feel neglected at any time, but it just didn't wow us.
Overall, it was a great experience, fantastic food, and we will definitely be back next time were in Keene.
We (3) decided last night on this little place in the traffic circle at the end of Main Street in Keene called The Stage.
It was fantastic. Tuesday is pasta night, which means you get to chose from 8 dishes, all with some type of meat (meatballs, carbonara, lasagna, chicken parm, chicken/brocolli, etc), salad and desert for $11!
I had the chicken parm, the breast was an inch and a half thick, juicy as ever and covered in good mozzerella cheese that was broiled for a minute. Their sauce is top notch. Smooth, rich, but not bitter or tart like most places. J*** had the carbonara which had a cheesy cream sauce, ham, bacon, peas, etc over angel hair. E*** had the chicken and brocolli tortellini in an alfredo sauce.
It's comfortable pricing, but really top notch food. We were very impressed. Only trouble is getting a table, but worth the wait. It's a fairly classy place too.
