Simply excellent pizza: Grappelli's is among my favorite pizza places anywhere. Great crust, sauce, and toppings. If you're near you must try it.

I simply don't believe some of the other reviews - Grappelli's has a large commercial brick oven that would likely cause severe burns if one reached in with bare hands. I've never bought pizza by the slice so can't comment about other aspects of that review. My crust usually has plenty of black spots on it (and once was outright burnt). I've *never* had underbaked crust at Grappelli's.

I asked for a slice of pizza the owner took it of the pan which was sitting on the counter uncovered for I do not know how long. Using his bare hands. He then put it in the oven to warm it up. Then he took it out of the oven with bare hands and put it on a paper plate. The paper plate had so much grease on it, disgusting. The whole entire experience was disgusting. The handling of the food and the grease. I will never, ever go here again.

Not bad taste. Undercooked though. Ask them to put it in the oven at least 5-1o minutes longer if you want your pizza cooked thoroughly.
