I went to this wonderful establishment this past weekend and it is the best mexican I have had since I have been back from the Marine Corps (15yrs). I love mexican and have been searching for a good place and now I found it! Anyone who does not think so needs to get out into the world and experience authentic Mexican, not the New Englandized Mexican food that is around (what is mexican with out refried beans??). I hope to spend many a lazy summer evening drinking margaritas and sitting on their patio furniture eating their delicious Guacamole!!!!! Oh I would like to address the comments made about the atmosphere there, GET OUT AND SEE THE WORLD! stop being so New England snoblike!!! Culture is different everywhere and just cause its different does not mean its bad. The music and relaxed atmosphere was great! The staff was also very friendly.
rude managers, bad waitstaff and heat-lamped tacos....mmmmm...well, at least they have tequila....
Gusanoz's is the only decent Mexican restaurant in the Upper Valley and that it's not saying much. The food is ok but stay away from the guacamole. They use way too much lemon and the guac ends up sour and slimy. The service is inconsistent between sparce and mediocre. They have some pretty good specials so for the price, the food is decent. If you're going to Gusanoz prior to seeing a movie at the Lebanon 6, give yourself plenty of time. Unlike most Mexican restaurants, the food takes a while to get to the table.
