Best Sushi in the U.S.A. Absolutely without question the best sushi and service. We have yet to have better. A small Family run restaurant serving Japanese and Korean dishes. These wonderful people are the best! This location in West Lebanon is small, intimate, and cozy. We have been eating in restaurants for 30 years. The combination of quality and service here should be the standard for all to follow!

The Hanover branch has much classier decor, and more space between tables, so that's the one I would choose for a special occasion. But at either location the staff is friendly and the food absolutely superb.

Yama has become my favorite restaurant in the upper valley, and it has become a happy tradition for my family & I to celebrate my birthday there each December. The sushi is great, both their traditional offerings as well as creative & tasty specialties which are inspired by local flavors.

The Korean fare is fantastic: the kimchi chigae, the salmon lunch box, their various katsu --all yummy. Yama is also generous with their banchan (those delicious side dishes). I really love their buchimgae (savory pancakes), and we usually get that as my birthday cake ;-)

All the people who work at Yama are unfailingly warm and helpful, and as others have said, they make a special point of knowing the favorite dishes of regular customers.

I am so grateful we have this restaurant out here in the hinterlands! I'm curious to see how the soon-to-open Hanover branch of Yama turns out.
