This has been a good choice for our family to go because of its eclectic variety, which includes a good range of tasty vegetarian choices, as well as breakfast-all-day options. The food and (very) casual decor work for my family, but it's not a place I'd take visiting parents.
This not delicate, subtle food. The portions are large, and often messy/greasy (usually in a good way). There are some good spicy choices. We've had to learn to stop when comfortably full, rather than indulge the urge to get overstuffed. Prices have increased somewhat above the "cheap eats" range in recent years, a problem compounded by the nature of the food, which is (for our choices anyway) not really successful for reheating as leftovers. We're not burger folks, but it looks like the burgers are large and juicy. There are always interesting specials on the board.
The decor is very eclectic, with all sorts of odd items decorating the place. The visibly tattooed and pierced servers and cooks add to the non-mainstream feel, as does the extremely varied choice of music in the place, and the funky mis-matched plates and stuff. The floors are often visibly dirty, but I've not seen cleanliness as a problem for the things I eat with or on. I don't know what it's like during the busy weekend brunch times, but service can be slow on a weekday evening when they're lightly staffed.
This sounds to me more like a 2-3 star review as I read it, but I give it 4 because it fits me and my family's style, and because we keep going back despite its flaws.
