Around the Corner B & B

We have stayed at many B&Bs and Around The Corner rates among the best. First of all it is spotless. The linens and general decorations are beautiful. Our room was spacious. It had a Wyeth theme with a Stevenson novel on the bedstand and several Wyeth prints on the walls. It overlooked a beautiful garden. The common rooms were well cared for and had treats(ice tea, wine,sweets) available for the taking.
The owners, Rita & Peter Russell, were gracious, eager to assist us in any way possible. By the time we left we felt that we had made new friends rather than just slept away from home. Their hospitality was extraordinary. Rita is a wonderful cook. One morning we had spinach, pecan and blue cheese pies made with filo pastry and Cashel blue cheese from Ireland. The next morning we had delicious French toast. The bread had come all the way from a German bakery in Chicago. It was fantastic!
We would highly recommend this delightful B&B, tucked away in southeast New England. Exeter is a great little town and home to the Phillips Exeter Academy. It is close to the Atlantic seashore and it has a river that runs right through town - all in all an experience not to be missed!
