this is the best place to go to eat and relax and enjoy the company of all the staff and patrons. the food is awesome..george the owner is great to talk to. I brought my sister & family up there for her 60th birthday and the day that we were there a storm came through and the electricity went out and they accomadated us anyway with candles and salads..my sister and family was amazed at how they went out of their way to serve us anyway when everyone else left.

My boyfriend and I have been going to the Scarecrow Pub for several years. It is one of the main reasons that we consider the White Mountains our favorite vacation spot.The bar and restaurant is adorned with mini, decorative -scarecrows and the bar also has a wonderful collection of police department badges from around the country and numerous nostalgic sports photos, including the famous Bobby Orr's Stanley Cup winning goal from the early 1970's. It's a wonderful place to just relax, kickback and have a great meal (and a couple cocktails, naturally). You can expect to spend about half of what you'd pay at a chain restaurant and even less at a fancy-shmancy joint and get hearty portions of delicious home-cooked food ( beef, italian, seafood,etc.) great drinks (not to keep harping on that...) and prompt, friendly service.Their signature "crow fries" can easily be shared by at least two, and are absolutely cooked to perfection down to the last spud. The last time we were there, it was the bartender's birthday. Another staff member surprised her with a cake, and she cut everyone sitting at the bar a piece. Tell me the last time that happened to you at some swanky, over-priced place. Next time you're in the North Conway area, check out the Scarecrow Pub in Intervale, NH. You won't regret it. Oh, and have a nice cocktail to wash down those fries- just save room for dinner!
