Sea Ketch Restaurant

I hope the owner reads these reveiws, I work in a restaraunt myself and we find it very helpful to receive feedback so that we can constantly improve. I was recently at the sea ketch and have always wanted to try it out... I had good expectations that it would be a friendly atmosphere.. unnfortunately that wasn't the case at all... We wanted to go on one of the upper decks and were stopped everywhere we went and rudely told that we weren't allowed on certain decks; that we had to wait to go on another lower deck. There was an old man who even had the nerve to show us each menu for each deck implying that we couldn't afford to sit in one of the upper decks. I think customer service is so important, even when you're extremely busy there's no need to be rude. I'm giving you my business anyway why should I be mistreated?! They were just so mean; I couldn't believe it. I was hoping to relax by the beach and enjoy our time there... they wanted us in and out and wanted us to spend our money (overpriced)! I will never go there again and would never recommend it to anyone.

I went here because my brother thought it looked interesting. I really have no complaints. Our server was great, the food was really good and the dinning room was clean and cozy. We sat on the second floor so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Ordered the Filet Mignon and lobster medallions and we ordered the steak medium. It was cooked perfectly and everything was hot and tasted great! It was moderately priced. The only thing I could say is the portions were kind of small but it was probably because of what we ordered. I would definitely go back. Best service I had the entire time I was there. The restaurants in that area are lousy in general due to the turnover in customers for them. Who cares about customer retention if you're never going to see the patron again. Unfortuanately this seems to be the mentality.

Ok so went for a little day trip to the beach, had alot of fun, untell we got to sea ketch, waited 15 mins for seating witch we didnt care, but after we sat down we ordered our food, me and my sister ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, fillet mingon with lobster on top, when the food arives, the lobster is cold, and the fillet mingon's we ordered to mediem rare were well done, i didnt want to wait so i started to eat, it tasted like charcole, it was nasty, my sister sent hers back to get it mediem rare, she gets her food back and its a raw steak, that was just seared on the outside, cold in the middle. The clam chowder was good, so if you do go, just go for a drink and a chowder, dont order steak there, myself i wont be oing back ever again.
