Overpriced and over-rated. You have to wait in line outside unless ordering lobster. Then you go inside and find a table, go get your food when called, and clean up after yourself. Tartar sauce isn't given unless asked for, and cup size is extremely small. For the same price we could have gone to a restaurant where we were acutally seated and served and gotten the same quality of seafood. We were not impressed.

I had lobster roll, crab cake, chowder, steamers, slaw. bring your own beer/wine cooler and no wait staff so no 20% tip. It is a great representation of America gone by. You feel free there. Open spaces and on your own.

The food at Browns is just passable as seafood. The portions are small and generally a bit over cooked. The atmosphere is loud and very bothersome. The seating is very crowed. The cashier/order taker is extremely rude and abrupt. Would I go back there, sure if all the other places to eat were closed.

I LOVE THEM: Brown's is a great place to go for lobster in the rough and steamed clams. Very informal and nice for being with visiting friends for an afternoon. You eat on picnic tables, but it's clean and wide open. My only complaint would be sometimes the service is a little cold, but it's understandable that they serve hundreds every day. Take it with a grain of salt and enjoy the food and casual atmosphere. They do know how to cook a lobster and fried clams. I will always return here. Nice variety of food, ATM as you will need cash, and plenty of parking. Bring your own favorite alcoholic beverage, too. Keep up the good work Browns!
